 Radio-scapholunate fusion

I came to Ramon with serious pain in my wrist as a result of a torn ligament which had not healed and resulted in arthritis developing in my bones. Not only was the prognosis very bad but, left untreated, it likely meant the end of my competitive tennis and squash days – as well as preventing me from weight training in the gym. Ramon immediately understood my attitude towards my body and was unfailingly positive but not unrealistic. He kept every possibility open until it was clear that only the most extreme option – a fusion of the scaphoid and lunate – would be sensible. Within four months of the operation I was back doing 140kg deadlifts and within six months I was back on the squash court. The surgery has been an exceptional success, and I cannot praise Ramon enough for his work.
