I’ve been a runner for as long as I can remember, so when I started getting a sharp pain in my right knee a few years ago, it had a big effect on my life. I tried various physiotherapists for months with no real improvement, until one physio finally suggested I see Ian.

From the very first appointment, Ian spotted what everyone else had missed or glossed over. My knock‑kneed alignment was putting too much stress through the joint.

We went ahead with a right distal open‑wedge osteotomy in December 2024, and although it’s a big procedure, Ian guided me through every step with confidence and clarity. A year later, in December 2025, he removed the metalwork, and since then the progress has been amazing.

I now have full extension and flexion, the scar is minimal, and, best of all, I’ve started running and dancing again completely pain‑free. After years of frustration, it feels incredible to be back doing what I love.

I’m delighted with the outcome and can’t thank Ian enough for giving me my lifestyle back. As a bonus, it was great to be able to dance the night away at my recent wedding!
