How do I book an appointment with London Sports Orthopaedics?

If you would like to book an appointment with one of our consultants or if you are undecided and need to speak with one of our medical secretaries to make sure our clinic is right for you, then simply, call us. Some patients prefer to email us their queries first, particularly if they are complex, to ensure the right consultant is chosen for their appointment.

How do I see my results and upcoming appointments?

At London Sports Orthopaedics we have a Patient Portal where all patients’ medical documentation and appointment letters are stored. Patients will have immediate access to their Patient Portal as soon as they are registered. This is a completely secure and GDPR-approved method.

I don’t have private medical insurance – can I pay for myself?

We see a multitude of self-funding and privately insured patients. Self-funding patients are asked to pay ahead of their consultation to confirm the booking. We are very transparent with funds, so please ask for prices before booking with us. We also can provide detailed quotes for patients who are referred for surgical intervention.

How much will it cost to see a consultant?

The price of a consultation varies per consultant. Usually, consultations are £250-£300 for a standard 30-minute consultation for a new patient. Many of our consultants are fee-assured with private insurers which means they abide by their billing rules so patients do not receive a shortfall. Please ask before booking a consultation about costs and shortfalls.

Will I need to see my consultant for a follow-up appointment?

Not all patients will need a follow-up, it will completely depend on your initial appointment and needs. We offer telephone and Zoom consultations for patients who are not able to make it in for follow-ups and do not need to be seen in person. Your consultant will advise you if a follow-up is necessary.
