Book your appointmentContact us

The term ‘general orthopaedics’ covers the list of conditions of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles that are normally seen in any specialist orthopaedic clinic.

Despite use of the word ‘general’, within the field of orthopaedics the various body parts tend to be covered by consultants who specifically specialise in just one (or sometimes two) particular area(s) of the body, for example;

  • Knee
  • Hip
  • Foot and Ankle
  • Upper Limb (Shoulder and Elbow)
  • Hand and Wrist
  • Spine
  • Rheumatology

The conditions that most commonly fall under the remit of orthopaedics are:

  • Fractures
  • Ligament tears / sprains
  • Cartilage tears / damage
  • Joint degeneration / arthritis.

We see all types of patients and injuries here at London Sports Orthopaedics, you do not have to be ‘sporty’ to book in with us. We have the most helpful medical secretaries who are always available to answer any questions or concerns.
