My New Fantastic Knee
Right total knee replacement surgery at The Weymouth Street Hospital, with a Conformis iTotal-CR prosthesis.
Dear Mr McDermott,
Following my previous email, I thought that I would just drop you a quick note to thank you for sorting my knee out. The knee feels fantastic, not quite a year yet but I can hardly feel any difference between the two of them. I can exercise fully without any hint of pain or swelling. The transformation from a year ago is incredible. Still being careful not to overdo it but I feel so positive and rejuvenated! The only complaint has come from my wife about my terrible dad dancing now I am back on the dance floor!!
Also, you will be relieved to know that I got back from my first ski trip fully intact. The knee was amazing. I didn’t have any twinges, pain, discomfort or swelling, and not even a single ibuprofen! I was skiing with the Ski Club of Great Britain rep, and he couldn’t tell the difference from one leg to the other. Everything felt so good. I was cautious to start with, but I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference between the two knees.
First anniversary of my op coming up, and I could never have expected the outcome of my replacement to be so good. Many, many thanks to you.
