As part of the ‘Hospital Innovations Centre of Excellence’ award, Ian McDermott, of London Sports Orthopaedics and London Bridge Hospital, has been designated as a training centre for surgeons wanting to learn how to do meniscal transplantation.

Jon Smith, a surgeon from Leeds, visited Ian this week in surgery at London Bridge Hospital. Jon watched Ian do a combined meniscal transplant and ACL reconstruction. Ian was delighted to meet Jon and provide the training. Jon looks to be thrilled at the experience, according to his twitter post!
